Launching the Arbor Day Blog!
Today we launch a special new project at the Arbor Day Foundation: The Arbor Day Blog.
As you well know, the Arbor Day Foundation works every day to inspire people to plant, nurture, and celebrate trees.
Our members, all of you, will enable the planting of over 12 million trees in 2008 - more than 12 million trees to beautify urban neighborhoods, to replenish our nation’s forests, to clean the water we drink and the air we breathe.
Your dedication makes this possible, and you deserve all the help you can get in working to plant more trees.
Every day, new information hits the press and the airwaves. Keeping you up to speed on the latest tree news is vital to our mission.
The Arbor Day blog will be yet another tool for outreach; a hub for fun, interesting, useful tidbits of information and news, for member stories, and the latest Foundation activities.
I’ll be working to bring all of these things together for you and other bloggers around the world - it’s just another small tool we can use, together, to bring even more people into our cause.
Ultimately, that means more trees in the ground, working for us and building a healthy future for the Earth.
Your feedback is appreciated greatly from “Day One” - what sorts of news and information do you find most interesting and relevant to your work as a tree planter?
When you come to the Arbor Day Blog to read weekly blog posts, what do you want to see more than anything else?
Be in touch! This is our project.
