If you like picturesque nature scenes, you’re going to love the winning photo in the first Arbor Day Foundation Give-A-Tree Card Photo Contest.

Bellvue, Colo., resident Candace McMahan’s photo of a river birch tree along the banks of the Connecticut River near Lyme, N.H., was the photo that caught the attention of the judges. McMahan captured the scene while she was visiting the area to attend her son’s graduation of Dartmouth College.
